IEEE IAS Student Branch Chapter JCET is conducting a Virtual Session on Electrical Safety Standards and Regulations by Danial Roberts (Chair, IEEE IAS Electrical Safety Committee) on 6th August 2020, from 6:30PM IST through WebEx meetings.
About Speaker: Daniel Roberts is an Electronic Engineering Technician and an Occupational Health and Safety professional. He has been employed by Schneider Electric since 1987. In that time he spent 14 years working in the field as a power systems technician and 12 years as an Occupational Health & Safety Manager. His current role is that of an electrical safety consultant to the industry at large. Daniel has more than 20 years of Codes and Standards development experience. He currently serves on several Canadian Standards Association Technical Committees. In 2013 he received the Canadian Standards Association Award of Merit for sustained and influential contributions to Occupational Health and Safety and to Electrical Safety Standards. Daniel is a longstanding member of the American Society of Safety Professionals. He is an IEEE Senior Member, and the Chair of the IEEE IAS Electrical Safety Committee. He has published several peer-reviewed papers on the topic of electrical safety
